This tropical pineapple margarita is shaken up with Cointreau, blanco tequila and a salty lime rim. Make it with juice or fresh pineapple!

Ingredients

lime salt

  • 1/4 cup kosher salt
  • zest of 1 lime

pineapple margarita

  • 1 lime wedge, notch cut in center
  • lime salt (recipe above)
  • 2 oz pineapple juice
  • 1 1/2 oz blanco tequila
  • 3/4 oz fresh squeezed lime juice
  • 1/2 oz Cointreau

Instructions

lime salt 

  1. Combine kosher salt and lime zest in a mortar and pestle. Grind together until combined and fragrant. Store in an airtight container.

pineapple margarita

  1. Cut a small notch in the center of the lime wedge. Run the notch around half edge of a margarita glass to moisten. Fill a small plate with lime salt, turn the glass on its side, and press wet side into the salt to coat. Fill glass with ice and set aside.
