This tequila sour recipe has the perfect balance of tart lime, sweet syrup, silky egg white foam, and the evolving flavor of good tequila.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz blanco tequila
  • 3/4 oz fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 oz simple syrup
  • 1 egg white
  • 1 dash Angostura bitters
  • Lime slice, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Combine tequila, lime juice, simple syrup, and egg white in a cocktail shaker (don’t add ice yet). Vigorously shake until mixture is very foamy, about 1 minute.
  2. Fill shaker with ice and shake another 20- 30 seconds, or until well chilled.
  3. Strain into a chilled coupe. Garnish with a dash of bitters and a lime slice.
